PvE Stories Pros and Cons
Charm on Connect
Kanoko's guaranteed charm on connect makes her a top-tier ★★ unit - used even in late-game battles. If she is paired with a support Mami or second Kanoko, the pair can connect back and forth, completely locking the enemies out of ever attacking(barring of course, bad disk draws breaking the lock.) Because of this, Kanoko is particularly useful in event battles, where a new player may meet an enemy that outmatches them.
Random Magia and Weak Discs
Being a ★★ unit, Kanoko's stats aren't great, and if an unlucky set of disks lets the enemy get an attack in, Kanoko will likely fall. Her Magia also isn't great - although its effects are good, it targets random enemies, and so is extremely dangerous to rely on unless facing a single enemy.
PvP Mirrors Pros and Cons
As always, Kanoko's connect is her strong suit, and you can pull off the lock if you have a Kanoko and a Mami to field. If you plan on trying this strategy in mirrors, memoria that give Evade and defensive bonuses are highly recommended, else it is highly unlikely you will survive the first turn in order to start the lock.
Facing Kanoko is not a problem - the AI is not smart enough to utilize the lock, and Kanoko's low stats make it easy to kill her.
Low Stats, Dies Easily
Again, Kanoko's only real asset is her extremely strong connect. Her low stats put her at a high disadvantage in Mirrors, and there is a fair chance your team will be long dead before she gets the chance to connect. Nevertheless, she is one of the best ★★ units and without any girls of higher rank owned, she may be a wise choice to field.
